Whether it is re-facing or replacing individual logs, or replacing complete walls, we always make sure we also correct the source of the rot issue as we make the repairs. Aside from rot happening from deferred maintenance or sealant failure, some problem areas are the result of improper widow sill build-out, deck flashing or overflowing gutters. We are diligent in treating the dry-rot fungi prior to re-facing a log so dry-rot will not continue to grow and spread after the repair has been completed. We take pride in our ability to color match our repairs to the surrounding surfaces, like it never happened!
